There's nothing like good friends in the midst of darkness.. It had been a rough week... Glad I had these angels to keep me company...
::The Movies::
Watched "The Bourne Ultimatum" with von and shem.. was a last-minute thgie but glad i got out and away from those thoughts for a while. Ying was sweetz to have arranged for us to go in on one ticket only, and even got her friends to bring us free food.. Sisters are great!=) Although I hadn't watched the first two Bourne shows, i was able to follow the storyline and it's waaay cool for a spy-assassin genre movie. No wonder the box office is a sellout. And i managed to catch one of my favourite actresses Julia Stiles on screen again!! She was my fave in those teenybopper movies when i was in sec school.. and it's great to see her advance into bigger and more mature films.. i luv luv her... she's like.. waaay hot.
A good ol' light-hearted breezy film filled with songs and fun. Just felt like dancing along with the actors in the film and singing along.. So fun!! One of the best underdog films i have watched in a while.. sure takes away the blues.. thankies to von for introducing me to the show.. can't wait to watch "High School Musical" after this!! This sounds weird but every actor in "Hairspray" is my favourite actor/actress!! All of them have played their individual role very well, whether it's daring-to-be-different Tracy, ditzy Penny, suave Seaweed, coolbeans mommy Edna, slutty Velma, bitchy Amber, diva Maybelle or himbotic Link, I LOVE THEM ALL!!! They are all sooooo cool! Bring me back to the 60s!!
I thankie von and shem for those nights of msn chats and phone calls.. thanks for the encouragement, advice and just listening me out=)
::And of cos there's nothing like chocolates and a healing balm in a good friend=)::
My favourite grace and chocolate waffles with ice-cream at Gelare. Always there as my healing balm.. thank you dearie, for all the msn chats, late night phone call and smses. Love u as always..
::More Indulgences with my sweeties who are always able to make me laugh and forget=)::
Cat and Syl dears and me and our Blueberry Delight cheesecake and Thousand Leaves Chocolate Cake at Coffee Bean. They are a rare few of my babes that still strive to remain in contact despite being attached to their better halves. Love love yall... thanks for the encouragement and for making me laugh, for making me forget momentarily. Can't wait for our KTV!!! Like finally.. haha.
*****
There's nothing better than chocolate.. except a good friend with chocolates=)
for fantasiers, dreamers, and appreciators of the sweet little details in life...

KTV fun!
Went ktv-ing with the SW clique yest... super stress-relieving.. okay so the result was we ended up super tired the next day.. but still fun!
Here are some of the pics (and videos!!) showing us in our crazy-drunken state.. okay, correction. only the guys drank. Talking about that made me pissed with Kbox. They gave me the wrong info. Told me it was Juggies' night and therefore wasn't as ex as usual pricing. Turned out to be Tiger's night and it would amount to $20+ per person if we dint drink Tiger. But von and i cant drink. Luckily the guys drink. But still came up to about $20 per person. Stupid Kbox. Since it was already 7pm when we went in, it was too late to change location. But luckily we had fun nonetheless. and i think in order to compensate us for giving me the wrong info, they gave us a bigger room. wahahahaha.. we held "concert" in there as usual.
Five.....
Four....
Three...
Two..
And our concert begins!!
von is a v v good singer... clear, sweet voice. i can just listen to her sing the whole night=) Her rendition of "Waiting For You" is just.. pwahh! stirring..
shem and jy getting high and absorbed in their song and not even noticing i took a pic.
Vee--day--o's!
von and shem singing Jolin's and Tao Ze's famed duet... the quality of the video is really quite bad at the beginning.. think i shook the digicam too much.. haha.. accompanied by von screaming in the middle of the video and covering her face when she realised i was taking a video of her.. haha.
As for shem.. haha so funny hearing him trying to sing in chinese. not that his chinese is bad.. but think his english is better. His best line was "Jolin in the house".. yupz. haha
jy deciding to act cute in Zhang Shao Han's "ai shang ai de wei dao"... complete with act-cute signs from shem and von simply enjoying herself in the background.
::Acting cute::
shem epitomized the meaning of "acting cute" manz.
::Us All::
vonnie and jy..
jy and me..
acting "seh" in shem's style.
jy trying to copy shem's usual "act-seh" style.. but he ended up looking like he was asleep instead.. so funny!
::We got scandalous::
The prequel...
Started getting scandalous with vonnie whilst the guys were absorbed in their singing. blearghz. guys do have such big egos sometimes. haha
All in all, it was a fun night out! The best KTV outing in ages.. totally let-your-hair-down and just-forget-everything kind of relieving.. wish it would be longer but there's always a next time i guess.
i thank the babe and dudes for the company. tata!

Some new buys... and some sweetz gift!
I promised to upload some of my new accessory buys.. and a better picture of the sweet little "wen(1) xin(1)" bear dollshouse Karrie got me from Bangkok. So here they are:
This is the sweet little bear's room.. gives u a very snuggly and cosy feeling doesn't it? Of course looking at the materials used to make it, you can make it yourself if you get down to it, unfortunately i don't have the patience nor time nor inspiration to now.. heh. It is really quite intricately made, wth vases of flowers, presents, and a bookshelf with bottles of beads, books and towels, and the cute little bear is dressed in a warm blue sweater. I do like it loads. Can lose myself in it for minutes on hand, just dreamily looking at the warm little room.. Unfortunately the bulb which lights up the inside of the room seems to have fused and i dunno how to change it.. Sad...
Next up are some of new accessory buys.. I am very into charms and long necklaces now.. hope i can find more good-value ones..
::The necklaces::
This is a big star necklace I have been looking for ages!! Since i like stars, i am also very fussy with the design of my starry stuff and I manage to get this good buy in a Far East outlet--only 15 bucks!! I have been looking for something like this for the longest time, and i found it on an outing with grace.. she says she's my lucky charm in bringing me luck to find the stuff i want.. haha.
I got this Tinkerbell necklace in the same outlet at only 10bucks!! It's so cool.. I saw it online selling at 23bucks and luckily i dint buy! it's super worth it.. and i find this Tinkerbell figurine better-made than some of the ones i have seen outside, so i am really quite lucky on this too.
A multi-charms necklace i got from Mini Bits. I loved it loads.. comprises of many shiny silver charms-a big curved heart, a bright silver coin, a lucky feather, a key, cross and some silver plates. It goes with almost everything i wear...
::The earrings::
~The unique~
It was Von's discovery.. haha. We were shopping at the 3rd level of the People's Park Complex at Chinatown, initially looking for beads and stuff to make accessories, but we cun find decent stores. However we discovered that the new People's Park Complex post-renovations has become like a mini=Far East. Needless to say, we bought more clothes.. blearghz.. As we were heading home before we do more damage to our accounts, Von saw this little pushcart where this uncle was selling handmade jewelry.. And i have to say, his stuff are really really unique, not the usual handmade stuff u see.. Plus he was super friendly, offering tips and lengthening a necklace Von wanted for her. If you bring a design to him, he would make it too. Most importantly, he doesn't repeat his designs nor keep copies of his designs.. meaning that I would not run into the chance of seeing someone wearing the same thing as i do. It would be one-of-a-kind! whee~ Von bought this super-cool necklace which looks more expensive than it costs and i bought 2 single-side earrings..
This is sooo diva-like. The uncle made this from black plastic which he burned and melted to obtain this shape. Super cool!
I love this! It was the first one that caught my eye. It is very intricately made, a double-layer of wire.. where one wire is twisted around the other to achieve this effect. He also told us that the shells that he used to make his jewelry with are handpicked. Basically he sees to everything himself. I have never met a cooler uncle haha.. He even told us that he would open classes teaching willing students how to make these jewelry.. which he says will be a profitable skill for them. Have u met more generous-hearted people who are willing to share their trade secrets?? I am sooo tempted to join the class.
::The Korean-ish sweet and cute::
Oooh.. i love my this yumilicious chocolate earrings from Mini-Bits.
This is a gift from grace.. sweetz of her=).. she's always pampering me with little gifts. It is of a sophisticated black lady with a jewel for a handbag. I think it's super creative la.
And here's my new box holding my often-worn necklaces... Bought the box from Ikea.. wish i had bought more haha.. One is definitely not enough.
This box holds all my new earrings. Some of them are good-value buys from Accessorize! Apparently Bugis Junction is undergoing major renovations and alot of the outlets are having sales.. including Accessorize! Am so lucky.. i do like their stuff but they are so overpriced on normal days. I bought 4 pairs of earrings at 70% off!! haha i am so auntie.. but like i said, a fashionista's biggest achievement is to make a cheapo thg look classy. haha. So who cares when you can get good buys man.
So that makes up all my new buys. I hope i can upload pics of my toy collection soon. hehz.

Bag Charms
I really like bag charms.. besides they being the "in" thing now... i liked the idea of dressing up my stuff.. could be due to the fact that normally, i like accessorizing alot, so i feel the stuff i own should be dressed up too.. and also i feel we should appreciate the stuff we own and give them some due respect? (in the sense of dressing them up la) Almost all the little pouches and bags i own has a key chain dangling from it each. One night, i "xin(1) xue(4) lai(3) chao(2)" and decided to make bag charms for all my bags. Due to the fact i already spent alot normally on accessories, i simply dun have the extra cash to buy bag charms. Besides i thought making them myself could add more to the fun and unique-ness of the product bahz.
So here are some of my creations.. of cos, after a long time of looking, actually they dun look as unique la, but at least i'm proud to call them my own creations! All of them are recycled from things i already own. Recycling is "in" now too!
::The Hairclips::
Decorating my off-white Zinc sling bag is a blue starfishy clip i owned from JC...
Decorating my "scandalous (as Sabbie calls it)" bag with a swarovski star clip Flo gave me from some time back...
::The single charms:
A single starry bracelet dangles from each of my mock-leatherish-skin bags...
::The street-style chains::
This long silver chain is made from linking 3 bracelets i dun wear anymore together... gives a rugged feel to my street-style Zinc bag.
This is made from a necklace syl babe gave me. Gold doesn't suit my colouring so i decided to dismantle it and make it into a chain for my hot pink bag.
::The sweet and cute::
This took me the longest time to put together. Basically I decided to piece all the cute keychains together. The egg-cup Piglet and french fries were given to me by xianyu and the squirrel name hp keychain a bday gift from JC from Cat. The charm bracelet is my own and my own creation, from Perlini's Silver, which i bought about 2 years ago.
I call this the "Lost in Wonders and Fantasies" keychain. It is made up of a Alice in Wonderful figurine who looks windblown and "blur" (very like me sometimes haha) also given to me by Xianyu and a starry hp keychain from 2 sec school friends.. It fits in with the blue theme of my Kate Spade bag.
Not too bad right? though not super creative. I thought some of my charms bracelets can double up as my accessories should i forget to wear any out that day too. So dear peeps, next time don't be too quick to throw away your old keychains and jewelries k? Recycle them!!
